The Forde Abbey Summer Fair is an annual event raising money for local charities in the area, and an action-packed fun day out for all the family.
Attractions include: a huge classic car show, live music, farmers market, 60 shopping stalls, ferret racing, dog scurry and dog agility, fly fishing, and a whole area for the children – a mini fun fair, trampolines, hands on activities and the Juggler magician.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to the Summer Fair in 2016, which proved a great success, raising the grand total of £30,000 for our two local charities.
We are already planning and looking forward to 2017 and we hope you will join us, on Thursday 27th July 2017 (always the last Thursday in July).
We are very grateful to all our sponsors:

Admission Prices 2017:
Will be announced shortly.
Reduced-price advance-purchase tickets will be available to buy in person from our Shop from 1st June until 26th July. Please note that the Fair is held in aid of charity, so no membership cards or other offers may be used for this event.
Dogs at the Fair 2017
We will again be running the popular Dog Show and Scurry classes at the Fair, so please do bring your dogs along and have a go.
Registration will take place on the day itself from 11.30am. There will be 15 assorted classes, for both pedigree and novelty breeds (including best mover, most attractive dog and bitch, best child handler) running throughout the day. There will also be a refreshment stall adjacent to the dog show area thanks to RABI, and some dog-related stalls.
The Chard & District RDA Group, Stella Haywood RDA Group and the Forde Abbey Carriage Driving RDA Group will have a stand at the Fair, where you can meet Forde Abbey’s wonderful Shetland pony, Twiglet – and some lovely old rocking horses too. Carriage driving will take place around the Arboretum between 1pm and 3pm, from their base at the top of the lawn, by the big oak tree.
We are now fully booked.
