The Undercroft Tearoom
The Tearoom is open daily from the 1st March -31st October from 11am-4.30pm.
The food served at Forde Abbey is cooked in the Abbey kitchens using produce grown here or sourced from local producers. The walled kitchen garden and the soft fruit grown on the estate provide a wealth of seasonal fresh produce and the famous Forde Abbey Red Devon Beef often appears on the menu. Home reared game is also a regular feature.
If you would like to visit the Undercroft only, without touring the house or the gardens, please make this known to the staff in the shop. On payment of a deposit equivalent to the cost of a gardens only ticket a one hour pass is given. If you return within the hour the deposit is refunded. If you are not back in this time it is assumed you have taken the opportunity to tour the beautiful gardens and the deposit becomes non-returnable.
