Inspired by the the landscape of Forde Abbey, three artists have created a series of installations that echo the theme and textures of the garden and its history.
Using willow they’ve grown themselves, Anne Marie O’Sullivan and Tom McWalter have woven a set of willow fish traps, Vezzini and Chen have designed a floating garden in the Long Pond and Eleanor Lakelin was influenced by the silhouettes of seed heads in the gardens earlier this year, creating textured wooden sculptures that are highly tactile – although we do hope you’ll resist the temptation (!)
Later in September, we’ll be showcasing the work of two more artists, Katie Spragg, and Kaori Tatebayashi, whose work will be on display in the house.
