Annual Charity Summer Fair

July 26

Set in the beautiful grounds of Forde Abbey, the annual charity Summer Fair has something for every member of the family (and your dog too!)

It’s a lovely day out for all the family with classic cars on display, model boats, a dog show, scurry and flyball, falconry displays on horseback, a fun fair, fly fishing, a food court, lots of fabulous street food and so much more besides!

The Fair will be open from 11am to 4pm with free parking and allocated parking for registered disabled Blue Badge visitors. Dogs are very welcome on a short lead.


Dog Show

The dog show will be run by Axminster Ring Craft and judged by Mrs Janet Barrow (Haleburne)
Registration will be open from 11am, classes start at 12.30pm
Pedigree entrants are £1.50 per class and novelty entrants are £1 per class.

Pedigree Classes:
Puppies ( 6-12 months)
Gun dog
Non sporting
and Open
Best in show
Best puppies in show award

Novelty classes:

Best veteran (over 7)
Best puppy in show award (6 – 12months)
Most handsome dog
Prettiest bitch
Best rescue to include Buckham Fair qualifiers
Best child handler
Best mover
Best cross bread
Dog or bitch judge would most like to take home

Only dogs over 6 months of age are eligible for entry.
No bitches in season to be exhibited please.

Summer Fair Admission Prices 2018:


•             Adult £8.00

•             Children (5-15) 2.50

•             Children under 5 Free

•             Family Ticket £20 (2 adults & up to 3 children)

Reduced-price advance-purchase tickets will be available to buy online or in person from our Shop from 1st June until 25th July. Please note that the Fair is held in aid of charity, so no membership cards or any other offers may be used for this event. This year the Forde Abbey Summer Fair is raising funds for the RDA and RABI.
