Our Wizard of Oz trail will be open today for intrepid explorers, just without the characters in place.
Given the weather forecast at the time of making the decision, their wellbeing had to be a priority.
In the Land of Oz….
Follow the yellow brick road this Easter to Forde Abbey where you’ll find Dorothy, a tin man, a plucky lion and a scarecrow on a magical adventure in the Land of Oz.
Over the rainbow, and many many miles East of nowhere, lies the magical land of Oz. A magnificent scape where the Emerald City shines and gleams, buttercups sparkle and the Munchkins have made their home with a ‘ha ha ha, ho ho ho and a couple of tra la las.’
Journey through the gardens this Easter and put your courage, bravery and compassion and brains to the test and earn some delicious chocolatey treats along the way. But beware! Watch out for the Wicked Witch of the West. She’s rather fond of chocolate herself and not so keen on sharing her treasure!
Join in a fun filled day for all the family, with our interactive trail around the gardens. The Undercroft tearooms will be serving a selection of homemade cakes and tasty treats to fuel you on your way, and there’ll be lots of Easter essentials in the Forde Abbey gift shop.
Open every day over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend from 30th March to 2nd April, 10am – 4pm.
Normal admission rates apply.
