Plant Nursery Open
June 1 11:00 am - October 31 5:00 pm
The plant nursery is open daily from 11am with a seasonal selection of reasonably priced herbaceous perennials grown on site.
Our nursery manager, Paul Bygrave, propagates and grows many of the plants from the garden to sell in the nursery, and a wander through the garden is an ideal opportunity to see the plants themselves woven into seasonal displays. Our hope is that the plants you buy not only bring colour to your garden space, but also provide a beautiful and lasting memento of your time at Forde Abbey.
The team are always on hand to help with advice and information, so do please ask if you have any questions.
Our foremost priority remains the health and safety of our members, visitors and staff and we will do everything possible to ensure Government social distancing measures are followed.
As we are a small nursery many plants are only produced in small numbers. Therefore, we often sell out of more popular lines; if you are seeking a particular plant please telephone a few days in advance of coming to check availability.
Forde Abbey Nursery is situated adjacent to the walled Kitchen Garden at Forde Abbey. You can visit the nursery, and adjoining gift shop, without having to purchase an admission ticket for the House or Garden.
The garden is now open to visitors, and we look forward to sharing with you all the efforts of our hard work over the past few months. You can find out more information on your visit here .
