It is tulip time at the magnificent gardens at Forde Abbey, the perfect moment to celebrate late Spring and the arrival of Summer. Our speakers will focus on all things spring in the garden. There will be a garden tour given by our head gardener.
Anna Pavord – A tale of tulips. How did this flower, this capricious, subtle, powerful flower, first arrive in our gardens? Anna tells its story and talks about some of her favourites.
Keith Wiley – Woodlanders in Spring. Keith will focus his talk on the wonders of naturalistic, woodland planting and how to transform the dry shady areas of the garden.
Harrie Rycroft – A potted year. Harriet will talk about plant containers so that they earn their keep from Spring to Spring.
Please note the day runs from 10.30am – 5pm, arrival at 10am when the gardens open.
Lunch and entry to the garden, £140. Book here.
