Tulip Workshop with The Land Gardeners
April 27 10:00 am - 3:30 pm
£170After the pared back minimalism of the Winter scape, the months of April and May are an exuberant catwalk of colour, with the tulips bursting into life with swathes of colour rippling through the borders. Velvety reds, and purples under a canopy of acid greens and oranges, intermingling with dashes of pink and white.
Join Bridget Elworthy and Henrietta Courtauld, also known as ‘The Land Gardeners,’ and Forde Abbey head gardener Joshua Sparkes, for a day of tulip inspired creativity.
With their instinctive flair for colour and design, Bridget and Henrietta will share inspiration and tips on how to get the best out of your tulips in both the garden and in the vase. You’ll have a tour of the gardens with Joshua Sparkes, delve into the history of tulips and learn how to plan a planting scheme around them.
After a delicious lunch, making the most of seasonal pickings from the kitchen garden, you’ll have the chance to forage for some of your favourite blooms before creating your own spring bouquets with the help of Bridget and Henrietta.
£170 includes lunch, teas and coffees and lots of cake.
