FORDE ABBEY CONCERT - LLYR WILLIAMS AND FRIENDS
Selected as a BBC New Generation Artist in 2003, Llyr Williams has since appeared as soloist with all the major British orchestras and performed at the foremost festivals around the world. The first half of his programme will include a selection of Liszt’s beautiful transcriptions of Schubert songs and conclude with his astonishing transcription of Wagner’s Isolde’s Liebestod. He will then be joined by a string ensemble led by Lucy Gould for a rare performance of the chamber version of Beethoven’s Fourth Piano Concerto.
Concert starts at 7:30 PM
Hall doors open at 6:30 PM. All seats are unreserved.
The Bar will be open from 6:30 PM and drinks will also be available during the interval.
Audience members are welcome to picnic in the gardens before the concert.
The Undercroft door will also be open from 6pm for those who prefer to picnic inside or incase of inclement weather.
