Nestled in the picturesque heart of West Dorset, the Forde Abbey 10k Cross Country race offers an exhilarating journey through some of the most beautiful landscapes in the region. But the challenge doesn’t stop there – the course culminates with two river crossings near the end, ensuring that even the final stretch is a test of endurance after more demanding hills. The Forde Abbey 10k race is an exclusive event, with advanced registration required, and the race is limited to only 250 places. This ensures a more intimate and personal experience for each participant, as well as the opportunity to run in a less crowded, more serene environment.

In addition to the main race, there is also a Junior 1500m race, designed for younger runners. The junior race starts promptly at 18:15, and entries will be accepted on the day of the event. To ensure you have plenty of time to register, it is advised to arrive early. This gives the younger athletes a chance to warm up and get ready for their own exciting adventure on the racecourse.
