ADMISSION INFO

Even with a reduced number of helping hands in the garden during lockdown, Alice, Jo and Clem worked tirelessly with the trowel and the secateurs. Maintaining an Abbey, however, requires more than just working away in the garden. The walls, the roof and the foundations require a fair bit of upkeep, and the ‘to do’ list of maintenance jobs is never ending. For this reason, we will be closing the garden this Winter as we are hoping to undertake some major works that will involve digging trenches through the garden, making it unsafe for us to welcome visitors.  We’ve chosen to do this during Winter, as there’ll be less footfall, and will be back up and running in time to welcome the snowdrops and the first glimmers of Spring 2021.

We’ll continue to share updates on the website. In the meanwhile, please join us on instagram and Facebook for seasonal postcards from the garden.
